Studying Abroad

The biggest opportunity to see the world: “Studying Abroad”

I believe most of us want to study abroad and one should be clear of once intention of studying abroad. Our reasons for studying abroad make a huge difference to the overseas universities in selecting us and also to the outcome of our decision. This article is an attempt to guide you towards developing a better attitude towards the whole idea of studying abroad. It may help you in clearing your interview with the concerned universities abroad as well as the embassy people.

NEVER SAY

I just want to go out of country

I want to meet and marry someone ‘international’

my friend tried it, and it expressed fun

As an alternative, say:

“I expect developing both individually and professionally after an international experience.

I have a deep interest in the culture, history, and language of _____(the country), which I am excited to continue to discover and experience”.

When selecting worldwide students, Universities are fully aware that the students do not have the right experience at present. So once selected there is a fair chance that the student may start feeling lonely and may leave the program soon after it begins.

So Never say:

As a replacement, say:

“Even though I have never been or studied abroad before, I am willing to travel and experience new cultures, and therefore, I’m looking for an opportunity to expand my limits while doing something I love.

Although I have never been abroad, I have done a lot of research to make sure this country is the right match for me. I am also looking forward to the challenge of living and studying independently abroad, which I am sure I am ready to handle.

Institutions of higher education don’t expect that everyone applying to an international program has had the study-abroad-experience before.”

Certainly, some people are better suited for the experience of living and studying abroad. But make sure that you always feel that you are THAT kind of person who gets along well with others, as you are an extrovert person and have no problem adjusting to adverse situations. You are open, flexible and respectful towards all cultures and beliefs. Here is a list of the top 10 opportunities/reasons to study abroad
